El día sábado 11 de julio entre las 11:30 y 17:00 hrs (hora chilena, GMT -4), en la página www.81dojo.com se llevó a cabo el torneo de selección del representante de Chile en el 5to Forum Internacional de shogi, a realizarse en Francia a mediados de éste año. En él participaron 8 jugadores en la modalidad "todos contra todos". En la tabla publicada en http://81dojo.com/LATINOAMERICA/onlinechile.html se presentan los resultados del torneo, en el cual el ganador invicto fue Robinson Arce Molina, cuyo nombre de usuario es Robinso. Hasta el 4to Forum se costeaban los pasajes y la estadía a los representantes de los paises invitados, pero este año no fue posible probablemente debido al terremoto que afectó a Japón hace unos meses, ya que la Federación de shogi de japón está directamente implicada en la organización de este evento. Por esta razónes que se dificulta la posibilidad de poder enviar al representante que se acaba de elegir. Esto es un hecho lamentable dado que ésta es la primera vez que Chile enviaría un representante a un evento internacional, lo cual sería una gran ayuda a la difusión de dicha disciplina dentro del país.
Robinson, el representante de Chile, tiene 22 años, juega hace aproximadamente 2 años y proviene de la ciudad de Valdivia, donde cursa 5to año de bioquímica en la Universidad Austral de Chile, durante éste año fue seleccionado junto a 3 jugadores de otros países para participar en un evento que se realizó a través de internet en la página www.81dojo.com , con la jugadora profesional Madoka Kitao, la cual envió autógrafos a los 4 participantes después de dicho evento.
On Saturday July 11 between 11:30 and 17:00 hrs (Chilean time, GMT -4) on the website www.81dojo.com it was held the selection tournament of the representative of Chile at the 5th International Forum of shogi, to be held in France on october of this year. It included 8 players and the pattern was "all against all ". In the table published in http://81dojo.com/LATINOAMERICA/onlinechile.html we present the results of the tournament, in which the winner was Robinson Arce Molina with 7 wins and 0 loses, whose user name is Robinso. Until the 4th Forum, passages and stay of the representatives of the countries invited was coasted, but this year it was not possible probably due to the earthquake that hit Japan a few months ago, as the Federation of shogi in Japan is directly involved in organizing this event. For this reason, it makes it difficult to travel for the recently chosen representative. This is unfortunate since this is the first time that Chile would send a representative to an international event, which would be agreat help to the diffusion of this discipline within the country.
